Driven to Achieve Results for Clients: Swapnali Kelkar in Immigration

Swapnali Kelkar is a Senior Immigration Paralegal in our Edison, NJ office.

Swapnali Kelkar decided to enter the immigration field based on her own personal experience. A licensed attorney from India, Swapnali came to the United States on an H-4 visa in 2013. At that time, H-4 visa holders were not authorized to work. Swapnali was motivated to learn more about the complex immigration field so that she could gain the right to work. As she immersed herself in the field, Swapnali learned about H-1B visa denials and wanted to make a difference for those impacted.

client relationships and strong results

Driven by good customer service and outstanding results, Swapnali loves interacting with clients. She prides herself on responding to their queries within one business day. Swapnali says, “I think it’s imperative for legal professionals to establish good client relationships. I build faith and confidence among my clients by delivering strong results.” She is driven to provide quality work to clients, on time.

obsessed with resolving legal issues

One of Swapnali’s favorite parts of her job is fighting for clients whose cases have received requests for evidence (RFEs), notices of intent to deny (NOIDs), and similar notices. She loves digging deep into the related legal provisions and applying her knowledge to resolve the issues raised. Working on these notices gives Swapnali insight into how particular cases are adjudicated, the factors officers may consider, and what evidence can make cases stronger. This helps Swapnali analyze every case she works on in its preliminary stages and avoid getting RFEs.

Swapnali recently passed the California state bar and will be admitted as a California attorney soon.
