Swetha Gopalakrishnan is a Legal Consultant with the Corporate and Litigation team at the Santa Clara office wherein she applies and leverages her academic and professional training in United States and India to assist in both business transactions as well as business litigation.
Swetha is a graduate from University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While in law school, Swetha was a Senior Editor with the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly and served as a Board Member on the UC Hastings Moot Court Team. As a competitor on the Moot Court Team, Swetha was a Regional Finalist at the Saul Lefkowitz Trademark Competition, and a Regional Quarter-Finalist at the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court. As an alumni, Swetha continues to be engaged as a volunteer coach and judge with the Moot Court Department.
During her internships, Swetha has experience working on mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate governance matters and regulatory compliance matters, including Investment Advisers Act, and AML/KYC policies. As a student associate at UC Hastings, Swetha has represented emerging startups and small businesses by advising on their corporate landscape and assisting in safeguarding their intellectual property rights with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Prior to law school in the United States, she received her first law degree from ILS Law College, India, where she was actively involved with Moot Court as well. During law school in India, Swetha has interned at several national law firms focusing on Business Transactions, Corporate M&A, Regulatory Compliance, and Intellectual Property.
