UPDATE: USCIS to Implement Registration Fee to File H-1B Cap Petitions

SUMMARY

US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that it will require petitioners to pay a $10 non-refundable fee for each H-1B cap petition electronically registered during the designated registration period.

Effective Date:

Effective December 9, 2019, USCIS will require a $10 registration fee when submitting electronic registrations for each H-1B cap petition.

What to Expect?

USCIS plans to implement the electronic registration process for fiscal year (FY) 2021 H-1B cap season. USCIS will seek to complete testing of the registration system before announcing the implementation timeframe and initial registration period for the FY 2021.
