Associate Attorney

Job Duties:
Experience (or willingness to learn) in general legal practice with a special focus on corporate, transactional, litigation, and real estate law.
Researching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing a brief for submission to a supervising attorney, or for submission to a 3rd party like client, court, mediator, or arbitrator as needed. 
Appearing in a court of law, arbitration, or other judicial tribunal on behalf of the firm's client and presenting well-reasoned arguments to the judicial body.
Analyzing and summarizing complicated legal documents, including contracts, and suggesting modifications to those documents. 
Negotiating with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes including settlement conferences.
Anticipating and mitigating potential legal issues or concerns and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce risk exposure.
Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, mergers, and acquisitions. 
Additional responsibilities, as directed by leadership. 
 
Qualifications:
0-2 years' experience as a practicing attorney.
Texas State Bar License (required).
Must be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
Organized and able to prioritize and plan efficiently and independently. 
Flexible and adaptable. 
Strong project management and multitasking skills.
Commitment to continuous learning.
