If a specific date is listed, only applicants with a priority date before that date are eligible. "C" (Current) means visa numbers are available to all applicants regardless of priority date. "U" (Unavailable) means no visa numbers are available.

Dates for Filing (Chart B): Determines when applicants may begin the final stages of the immigrant process.

  • For Consular Processing (outside the U.S.): The National Visa Center (NVC) will notify applicants to submit civil documents and fees once their priority date is earlier than the listed date.
  • For Adjustment of Status (within the U.S.): Each month, USCIS designates which chart applicants may use to file the I-485, Adjustment of Status (AOS) application. If sufficient immigrant visas are available to accommodate additional filings, it lists the Dates for Filing chart. Otherwise, applicants must wait until their priority date is current under the Final Action Dates chart.
