December 2024 Visa Bulletin: India Sees Little Advancement for EB-2 and EB-3 Final Action Dates

Introduction

The U.S. Department of State has released the December 2024 Visa Bulletin. While Dates for Filing remain unchanged for all employment-based preference cases, Final Action Dates for India advance by two weeks and one week in the EB-2 and EB-3 categories, respectively.

According to USCIS, Dates for Filing must be used for both family-sponsored and employment-based Adjustment of Status filings in December 2024.

EB-1:

• India: April 15, 2022
• China: January 1, 2023
• All other countries: Current

EB-2:

• India: January 1, 2013
• China: October 1, 2020
• All other countries: August 1, 2023

EB-3 (Professionals and Skilled Workers): 

• India: June 8, 2013
• China: November 15, 2020
• All other countries: March 1, 2023

EB-5 Unreserved (C5, T5, I5, and R5):

• India: April 1, 2022
• China: October 1, 2016
• All other countries: Current             

EB-5 Set-Asides (Rural, High Unemployment, Infrastructure):

• Current for all countries

• China: November 8, 2022
• All other countries: Current             

EB-2:

• India: August 1, 2012
• China: March 22, 2020
