As of September 9, 2025, the U.S. Department of State (DOS), in accordance with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), has issued all available Employment-Based Preference (EB) Visas for EB-1, EB-2 & EB-3 for fiscal year (FY) 2025. These immigrant visa categories are subsequently unavailable, and will remain unavailable, through the remainder of FY 2025, which ends September 30, 2025. The annual limits will reset on October 1, 2025, the start of FY 2026.
Although embassies and consulates may not issue visas in these categories for the remainder of the FY, USCIS will continue to accept EB-1, EB-2, & EB-3 adjustment of status filings that are current in the Visa Bulletin for September 2025. Applicants with scheduled adjustment of status interviews should still attend their interview but be aware that the USCIS officer may decide to reschedule the interview due to the current unavailability of slots for EB immigrant visas. If the interview still goes forward, the case cannot be approved until a visa becomes available.
