United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has amended the requirements for submitting Form I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status) and Form I-693 (Report of Immigration Medical Examination and Vaccination Record).
Most adjustment of status applicants are required to submit Form I-693, signed by a civil surgeon, as proof they have no health conditions that would result in medical inadmissibility. In the past, USCIS accepted this form at different stages of the case.
With this recent change, Form I-693 must be submitted alongside Form I-485. Failing to submit the forms in tandem may result in the application being rejected.
