Introduction
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services announced a new final rule to increase the filing fees for Form I-907, Request for Premium Processing, in order to adjust for inflation. A request for premium processing may only be submitted if USCIS has announced on its website that premium processing is available for that benefit.
Revenue earned by the premium processing fee increase will be used to provide premium processing services, adjudications processes improvements, respond to adjudication demands, reduce benefit request backlogs, and fund USCIS adjudication and naturalization services.
The fee change will go into effect as of February, 26, 2024. Any Form-907 postmarked on or after February 26, 2024 sent with the wrong filling fee will be rejected by USCIS, and the fee will be returned. If you are filling via a commercial courier like UPS, FedEx, and DHL, the postmarked date is the date reflected on the courier receipt.
