United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) opened the initial registration period for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 H-1B cap on March 6, 2024 at 12pm Eastern Standard Time. Previously, the registration period was slated to end on March 22, 2024 at 12pm Eastern Standard Time. However, after a temporary system outage that impacted some registrants, USCIS announced they are extending the registration period until 12pm EST on March 25, 2024.

All applicants are still required to use their online myUSCIS accounts to submit each H-1B registration and pay the associated fees. USCIS is still expected to inform selected H-1B registrants of their status on March 31, 2024.
