Introduction
The August 2021 Visa Bulletin has been released by the State Department. United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) also announced that for employment-based categories, it will use the Final Action Dates chart to accept applications for adjustment of status to lawful permanent resident.
Final Action Dates
The final action cutoff dates for employment-based immigrant visa according to the August 2021 bulletin are:
- EB-1:All countries remain current.
- EB-2:China advances to April 1, 2018. India remains at June 1, 2011. All other countries remain current.
- EB-3 Professional and Skilled Workers:China advances to January 8, 2019. India advances to July 1, 2013. All other countries remain current.
- EB-3 Other Workers:China advances one month to January 1, 2010. India advances six months to July 1, 2013. All other countries remain current.
- EB-4:El-Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras advance one month to January 1, 2019. Mexico remains at February 1, 2020. All other countries remain current.
- EB-4 Certain Religious Workers: El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras advance one month to January 1, 2019, and Mexico remains at February 1, 2020. All others are current.
- EB-5 Non-Regional Center (C5, T5): China advances to November 15, 2015. All other countries remain current.
- EB-5 Regional Center (I5, R5): The Regional Center program expired on June 30, 2021. It remains unavailable until Congress reauthorizes the program.
