United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has extended the filing period from one year to two years for certain Liberian nationals and certain family members to apply for adjustment of status to US permanent resident under the Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness (LRIF) provision.
Individuals who are applying to adjust status to obtain a green card under the LRIF must correctly complete and submit Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. USCIS must receive the application by December 20, 2021.
