As of March 1, 2020, the H-1B sponsorship process will now begin with online registration at myUSCIS for each H-1B employee. Instead of submitting petitions for every H-1B beneficiary, employers will only need to file petitions for those H-1B beneficiaries that are selected in the lottery.
Employers will need to designate a representative to help complete the application process. Representatives work closely with their attorneys to provide all information. Online registration will require information about the employer, employee, and related details. The employer must also attest there is bona fide work offer for the H-1B beneficiary.
All employers should work closely with their attorney to evaluate prospective H-1B employees for eligibility before completing online registration.
The following is a guide to information required for online H-1B registration. Additional basic information may be requested.
