Update: Premium Processing Begins for FY 2020 H-1B Cap Petitions Requesting Change of Status

SUMMARY

Beginning May 20, 2019, USCIS started accepting premium processing requests for H-1B cap petitions requesting a change of status on Form I-129 (Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker) that did not include Form I-907 (Request for Premium Processing Service) with the H-1B cap petition.

Premium Processing for Other FY 2020 H-1B Cap Cases:

  • All other H-1B cap petitions may not request an upgrade to premium processing until June 2019, or until further notice issued by USCIS.
