Update: Premium Processing Resumes for H-1B Petitions Filed on or Before December 21, 2018

By Angelita Chavez-HalakaArmando Escobedo, and Gladys Gervacio

SUMMARY

Starting February 19, 2019, USCIS will resume premium processing for all H-1B petitions filed on or before December 21, 2018.

USCIS announced that it will resume premium processing on February 19, 2019 for all H-1B petitions filed on or before December 21, 2018.

If USCIS issued a transfer notice for a pending H-1B petition filed on or before December 21, 2018, the premium processing request and a copy of the transfer notice should be submitted to the service center that is now handling the petition.

Premium processing for all other H-1B petitions filed on or after December 22, 2018 with the Vermont Service Center and California Service Center will continue to be suspended.

USCIS will reinstate premium processing for the remaining H-1B categories as its workload permits or until further notice. As always, we will continue to monitor this change.
