By: Deepika Singh and Angelita Chavez

 Introduction

The United States State Department has released the April 2023 Visa Bulletin. Final action dates in most categories see little to no movement. However, EB-2 retrogresses for all countries other than China. This is likely to make sure the immigrant visa number stays within the annual limit for fiscal year 2023.

USCIS will accept applications based on the Final Action Dates chart.

  • EB-1: China and India’s cutoff date is February 1, 2022. All other countries remain current.
  • EB-2: China’s cutoff date remains at June 8, 2019, and India retrogresses approximately eight months to January 1, 2011. All other countries retrogress approximately four months to July 1, 2022.
